On November 26, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Mukhriddin met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov during his working visit to Ashgabat to participate in the ECO Council of Ministers. The parties exchanged views on a wide range of issues of bilateral and multilateral interaction in all areas of mutual interest, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan reports.
The ministers highly evaluated the current level of mutual trade and expressed readiness to expand trade turnover in the near future.
They also discussed key aspects of bilateral mutually beneficial cooperation within the international organisations, in particular the UN and its agencies, the Economic Cooperation Organization and other regional organisations.
On the eve of the 25th Meeting of the ECO Council of Ministers and the 15th ECO Summit, which will take place in in Ashgabat, the parties noted with satisfaction existing sincere and constructive relations between the countries.
