On November 23, Head of the Interpol National Central Bureau at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Shakhriyor Nazriev and other Ministry officials arrived in Turkey to participate in the 89th Interpol General Assembly, which would be taking place in Istanbul until November 25, the press office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan reports.
The agenda covers a wide range of issues related to combating the most dangerous forms of transnational crime by using the Interpol’s policing capabilities.
The General Assembly will focus on building up the Interpol’s capabilities in locating fugitives, combating cybercrime, strengthening joint efforts in the fight against terrorism and extremism, preventing illicit drug trafficking and human trafficking.
The Interpol’s network is a vital global early warning system to ensure fugitives cannot evade justice.
The Interpol National Central Bureau of Tajikistan was established on October 5, 2004.
