Kyrgyz Minister visits Port of Bandar Abbas in Iran

Minister of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic Daniyar Amangeldyev discussed the use of a section of the Port of Bandar Abbas by Kyrgyzstan during his working visit to Iran, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reported.

The delegation consisted of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Aibek Artykbaev, Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications Almaz Turgunbaev and Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Iran Turdakun Sydykov.

During the meeting, the Iranian side expressed interest in using the transit potential of Kyrgyzstan to transport goods from China to Iran and European countries.

The parties also agreed to consider the possibility of setting up a joint development fund to invest in the implementation of priority projects in the Kyrgyz Republic.

The Kyrgyz delegation visited the Port of Bandar Abbas, where they met with Governor of Hormozgan Province Mahdi Dousti and Director General at the Port of Bandar Abbas Mohammadi Karajiran, as well as learned about the activities and capacities of the port.
