Germany to assist in teaching German at Kyrgyz schools

Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Germany Erlan Abdyldaev made a trip to Bavaria aiming to enhance cooperation with the federal states of Germany, where he met with Minister for European and International Affairs Melanie Huml. The Bavarian side agreed to assist Kyrgyzstan in teaching the German language at educational institutions in the country, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reported.

At the suggestion of the Kyrgyz diplomat, the Bavarian side expressed readiness to consider the possibility of starting work on vocational training and retraining of Kyrgyz youth, noting that the necessary resources were available for that purpose.

An agreement to hold joint cultural and humanitarian events in Bavaria in 2022, which would mark the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Kyrgyzstan and Germany, was reached.

Abdyldaev also met with representatives of the Kyrgyz diaspora in Munich. The Ambassador called on them to demonstrate an active civil position and take part in the elections to Jogorku Kenesh, scheduled for November 28.
