On November 11, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting with the participation of representatives of both chambers of parliament, as well as the Deputy Prime Minister in charge of the agricultural sector. The national leader directed to hold the third session of the first convocation of the Halk Maslakhaty of Milli Gengesh on November 12, as reported by «Turkmenistan Today».
Deputy Head of the Halk Maslakhaty Kasymguly Babayev reported to Berdimuhamedov on the work on modernizing legislation and preparation for the event. He noted that the committees are working on the conclusion of new laws, which were adopted within the framework of the 15th meeting of the Mejlis on October 30. The official added that representatives of the parliament are analyzing the issue of changing the existing regulatory legal acts.
The agenda of the meeting of the Halk Maslakhaty will include consideration of the law on the state budget for the next year; discussion of several documents related to the legal protection of Turkmen citizens, use of state property and land resources, ensuring environmental safety and expanding the potential of the service sector.
According to Babayev, the relevant deputies carry out explanatory work among the population regarding the essence of the domestic and foreign policy of the head of the state, as well as the importance of the laws adopted.
After hearing the report, Berdimuhamedov directed to hold a meeting of the Halk Maslakhaty at the highest level. In addition, he emphasized the need to explain to the people the importance of state policy aimed at bringing up young patriots.
