Opening of CCTS investment fund in Kyrgyzstan discussed

The Secretary General of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States informed the President about the preparations for the CCTS summit.

On November 8, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov met with Secretary General of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States (CCTS) Baghdad Amreev. The interlocutors discussed the opening of the CCTS investment fund in Bishkek, the press office of the President of Kyrgyzstan reported.

Japarov emphasised that the CCTS summit, which would take place in Istanbul on November 12, would be a good opportunity to discuss the further strengthening and development of the Council.

Amreev informed the President about the preparations for the CCTS summit.

The President of Kyrgyzstan underscored the key role of the Council in facilitating the integration of Turkic-speaking states, noting that Bishkek attached great importance to its membership in the Council.

The Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States was established in 2009. The CCTS member states are Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey. Hungary has observer status at the Council.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, Turkmenistan will join the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States as an observer at the upcoming summit in Istanbul.
