Indian expert tells Turkmen students about healthy eating

The Embassy of India organized the corresponding webinar for students of the Turkmen State Medical University.

On November 2, as part of the celebration of Amrit Mahotsav (the 75th anniversary of Independence), the embassy of India organized a webinar on the theme «Ayurveda for Poshan» at the Turkmen State Medical University. The online seminar was conducted by an expert in traditional medicine. It was reported by the press office of the diplomatic mission on Instagram.

The event was mainly held on the occasion of the 6th Day of Ayurveda (the traditional system of Indian folk medicine). The main speaker at the webinar was an expert in Ayurveda at the Center for Yoga and Traditional Medicine in Ashgabat, Dr. Dinesh Baruah.

She made an online presentation on the benefits of healthy eating based on the Ayurvedic concept. After that, a representative of the embassy gave students booklets containing information on Ayurveda, healthy lifestyle and medicinal plants.

In January this year, Indian Ambassador to Turkmenistan Vidhu Peethambaran Nair held an online meeting with the rector of the State Medical University of Turkmenistan Nargozel Myratnazarova. They discussed the cooperation in the field of Ayurveda and telemedicine.
