Programme on youth unemployment to be launched in Tajikistan

This statement was made at a working group meeting of the Ministry of Labour and the Youth Committee.

A working group meeting of the Ministry of Labour, Migration and Employment and the Committee of Youth and Sports took place in Dushanbe. It was stated at the meeting that a programme to keep records of uneducated and unemployed young citizens would be launched in the Republic, the press office of the Ministry of Labour reported on October 30.

An ePlatform will keep records of unemployed and unqualified youth. The main goal of the programme is to find jobs for and provide vocational training to young citizens of Tajikistan.

The working group meeting mainly focused on the results of the implementation of the pilot ePlatform. Particular attention was paid to the methods of initiating the official part. The officials specified a time-frame for putting the programme into action.

Minister of Labour Shirin Amonzoda emphasised that the record keeping system should be modernized. In conclusion, it was noted that the pilot phase of the ePlatform had ended.
