Bishkek and Ulan Bator intend to promote trade and economic relations

Kazakbayev noted that it was planned to set up the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Mongolia in the near future.

On October 28, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Ruslan Kazakbayev received a copy of the credentials from Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to Kyrgyzstan Gankhuyag Sodnom. Kazakbayev expressed gratitude to the Mongolian side for the decision to reorganise the Consulate General into the Embassy of Mongolia, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reported.

He also informed that the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Mongolia would be set up in the near future.

Sodnom thanked the Minister and conveyed warm greetings of the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia.

The diplomat emphasised that the two countries had built the fully operational legal framework in nearly all areas of cooperation.

The officials discussed the prospects for bilateral cooperation, focusing on promoting trade and economic cooperation, and noted the importance of operating direct flights between Bishkek and Ulan Bator.

In conclusion, the Ambassador assured that he would make every effort to intensify bilateral relations and achieve tangible results.
