Kyrgyzstan and Denmark consider possibility of increasing trade turnover

The issues related to the intensification of bilateral political, trade and economic relations between the countries were discussed.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Kingdom of Denmark with residence in Berlin Erlan Abdyldaev presented his credentials to Queen Margrethe II of Denmark. After the ceremony, the Ambassador met with the deputy, the State Secretary for Development Policy and the Director of the Department of European Neighbourhood at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark to discuss the intensification of bilateral relations, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reported.

The meetings focused on strengthening and promoting bilateral and multilateral cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Kingdom of Denmark, including inter-parliamentary cooperation, boosting bilateral trade and attracting investment in various sectors of the Kyrgyz economy, as well as interaction in fighting the spread of coronavirus infection.

The parties discussed the upcoming First European Union-Central Asia Economic Forum, which would be held in Bishkek on November 5 this year.

The interlocutors were unanimous on the need to intensify contacts for the benefit of Kyrgyzstan-Denmark relations.
