Association of Friendship and Cooperation with Turkmenistan opened in Turkey

The organization aims to expand economic, social and cultural ties between countries.

The opening ceremony of the Association of Friendship, Aid and Cooperation with Turkmenistan took place in Istanbul on the evening of October 23. This organization was headed by a citizen of Turkey, a retired policeman Esugay Aksakal. According to him, the main goal of the union is to expand interstate relations at various levels, as reported by TRT AVAZ TV channel.

The official name of the organization is Türkmenistan Dostluk Yardımlaşma ve İşbirliği Derneği (TDYID). The head of the association stressed that TDYID representatives will make every effort to strengthen economic, social and cultural cooperation between Turkmenistan and Turkey.

Aksakal added that many Turkmen citizens currently live in the Republic of Turkey. He also emphasized that the organization will focus on promoting the image of Turkmenistan, in particular through social networks.

The TDYID President noted that the Central Asian country has always been following peaceful policy based on neutrality. In addition, the state managed to maintain economic stability after the collapse of the USSR without foreign help, added the head of the association.
