Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan visits coal fields in Naryn Region

The participants in the meeting discussed the price policy for coal and the development potential of the coal industry during the trip.

On October 18, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Zhaparov inspected the work on the Kara-Keche coal field in Naryn Region and the Kyrgyz Komur State Enterprise, the press office of the Government of Kyrgyzstan reported.

The Prime Minister met with the representatives of state bodies, local authorities and coal mining companies, who made their proposals for improvements in working conditions on the coal field, and discussed the price policy for coal and the development potential of the industry.

“Safety and order on the coal field need to be observed. As you all know, preparations for this year’s heating season started late. This should not have to be that way henceforth. In case of failure, the responsible officials will be punished,” Japarov said.

The Chairman of the Government emphasised that the population, social facilities and power enterprises should be provided with coal in the first place in the cold season.

Earlier, Japarov noted that this year’s heating season in Kyrgyzstan was not in a good way.
