Chemists’ Palace of Culture in Chirchik opens after reconstruction

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev attended the ceremony.

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Palace of Culture in Chirchik during his trip to Tashkent Region and watched the study group classes and a children’s concert, the press office of the President of Uzbekistan reported.

The Palace of Culture built in 1958 is one of the architectural monuments in the city. Many famous artists and cultural workers of Uzbekistan have come out of it.

The reconstruction work included the installation of modern air conditioning and heating devices and sound-amplifying equipment, the restoration of the facade and the fountain to their original appearance and the provision of study groups with furniture and equipment.

Currently, more than 300 children attend study groups at the Palace of Culture. It also houses a 700-seat concert hall. The Palace has again become a favourite place of leisure for children and youth.

President Mirziyoyev wished the young artists every success in their creative activity and gave the responsible officials specific instructions to expand the activities of the Palace of Culture.
