Incumbent President of Uzbekistan meets with voters

Shavkat Mirziyoyev presented the election programme to the voters in Navoi Region.

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, as a candidate for the presidency of the country from the Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, held a meeting with the voters in Navoi Region. The President spoke about the main provisions of his election programme, the press office President of Uzbekistan reported.

The electoral programme provides for the measures to improve the quality of vocational education and improve the living conditions (in particular, the construction of multi-storey buildings in the cities of the region, roads, water and electricity networks).

The important aspects of the programme are the creation of new jobs through the implementation of more than 2,000 investment projects, including the construction of 7 power plants, a gas chemical cluster and textile and leather shoe enterprises. More than 7,000 jobs in the mining industry will be created through the implementation of 52 projects.

The work in the agricultural sector will focus on improving water supply, increasing livestock and crop production and growing rice.

Among the priority areas of the election programme, Shavkat Mirziyoyev outlined the measures to support entrepreneurship, build new medical educational institutions and improve the quality of services. It is planned to allocate 40 trillion soums to implement the social and economic development programme in the region.

During the meeting, voters expressed their wishes for the further development of Navoi Region, which the incumbent president also promised to include in his electoral programme.
