Tokayev inquires about current situation in main city of Kazakhstan

This year, 10,000 socially-oriented apartments will replenish the housing stock in the capital.

On October 12, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev received Nur-Sultan Akim Altai Kulginov. The Mayor of Nur-Sultan informed the President about the pace of socio-economic and infrastructural development of the territory under his supervision, the press office of the President reported.

The Mayor of Nur-Sultan reported on the measures taken to provide affordable housing in the city in order of priority, address the issues with three-shift schools, attract investments and curb food prices. Kulginov reported on the feedback within the concept of the “Hearing State”

The Akim specified that the 10,000 apartments would replenish the housing stock in the capital in 2021.  As for the completed projects, 15 schools have been built; after putting them into operation, they will create 40,000 new places for schoolchildren. The high-ranking official also reported on the progress on equity construction, gasification, improvement of suburban areas and digital integration.

Following the meeting, the President set the tasks for the administration of the capital, which included the uninterrupted heating season.
