Conflict-affected entrepreneurs in Batken exempted from taxes

The authorities of Kyrgyzstan informed about the decision to support affected taxpayers in the Kyrgyz-Tajik section.

On October 8, the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic informed about state support measures for entrepreneurs in Batken Region affected by the border dispute this spring. In particular, taxpayers under this category are exempted from paying certain taxes, the press office of the Government of Kyrgyzstan reports.

From April 1 to December 31, 2021, entrepreneurs are exempted from the following taxes:

- income tax;
- profit tax:
- VAT;
- sales tax;
- tax under a compulsory patent;
- tax under a voluntary patent;
- single tax.

According to the information, these regulations do not apply to the branches and other subdivisions located outside the settlements affected by the conflict on April 28-30.

In addition, the Cabinet of Ministers recommended that local kenesh exempt entrepreneurs affected by the conflict on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border from land and property taxes.
