Putin states Russia’s readiness to enhance cooperation with Kyrgyzstan

This was stated during a telephone conversation between the leaders of the Russian Federation and the Kyrgyz Republic.

On October 7, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov had a telephone conversation with the leader of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. He congratulated his counterpart on his birthday and touched upon issues of further interaction between the countries, the press office of the President of Kyrgyzstan reported to CentralAsia.news.

Putin stressed that Moscow was ready to make efforts to build up relations in various fields given the current state of Russia-Kyrgyzstan cooperation.

Japarov said the President of Russia had made a great contribution to strengthen partnerships between the two states, noting that bilateral contacts were based on mutual respect and friendship.

The leader of Kyrgyzstan noted the success of the election to the Duma, expressing belief that inter-parliamentary relations between Bishkek and Moscow would expand in the future.

The volume of trade between Russia and Kyrgyzstan exceeded US$ 1 billion in the first half of the year. This was stated during the meeting between Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Ulukbek Maripov and RF Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
