In accordance with the instructions of President Sadyr Japarov, the Government of Kyrgyzstan has sent humanitarian aid to Afghanistan. Food products were delivered to ethnic Kyrgyz in the Greater and Lesser Pamirs, the press office of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic reported to CentralAsia.news.

These people live in harsh climatic conditions and have their homes in the mountains, where the cold winter comes very early.

The humanitarian aid included 55 tonnes of flour, 14 tonnes of rice, 7 tonnes of pasta, 4,000 litters of vegetable oil, 5 tonnes of salt and 10 tonnes of sugar. According to the Kyrgyz authorities, these products will be enough for ethnic Kyrgyz to spend the winter months.

As was reported, the Kyrgyzstan delegation delivered humanitarian aid to Kabul on September 23. The cargo was handed over officially to Acting Deputy Prime Minister Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar.

On the same day, Deputy Chairman of the Security of Council Taalatbek Masadykov had a meeting with Acting Foreign Minister of Afghanistan Amir Khan Muttaqi.
