Japarov instructs to build about 400 houses for Afghan Kyrgyz

The authorities allocated 30 hectares of land in Burgan-Suu for residential buildings and social facilities.

On September 26, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov visited Chon-Alai district in Osh Region, where he laid a capsule in the foundation of a new town for ethnic Kyrgyz from the Small and Big Pamirs of Afghanistan. 30 hectares of land were allocated for residential buildings, social and healthcare facilities and schools, the press office of the President of Kyrgyzstan reported.

About 300-400 houses will be built in this district for compatriots from Afghanistan.

The funds were allocated from the republican budget to implement this project, and a number of facilities will be built with the financial support of the Assanabil Public Charity Fund.

In his speech, the President of Kyrgyzstan expressed belief that the descendants of compatriots living in the village would contribute to transforming their homeland into a prosperous region and reaching the level of developed countries.

The elders of the region stressed that they were supporting Japarov’s policy of supporting ethnic Kyrgyz from the Pamirs.
