Business circles of Tashkent and UAE expand mutually beneficial cooperation

The parties will strengthen partnerships for renewable energy through managing wastes and improving sewage and urban planning systems.

On September 21, Tashkent Hokim Jahongir Artikhodjaev held a meeting with the business delegation from the United Arab Emirates headed by a representative of the  ruling Al Maktoum family – Sheikh Mohammed bin Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum. The parties focused on expanding cooperation between the business communities of the two countries on renewable energy through managing wastes and improving sewage, urban planning and healthcare systems, the press office of the Tashkent Hokimiyat reported to CentralAsia.news.

The UAE delegation expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and emphasised that the United Arab Emirates were optimistic about the reforms implemented by the President in Uzbekistan. They noted that the image of the capital of Uzbekistan was becoming increasingly attractive. The dynamic development is observed in the social, economic and industrial fields.

The head of the UAE delegation said Uzbekistan, particularly Tashkent, and the UAE had a great potential for expanding bilateral cooperation. In this regard, he expressed interest in the implementation of large-scale infrastructure projects in priority economic sectors of the capital of Uzbekistan on the basis of mutual trust and transparency.
