Tokayev and Rahmon hold bilateral meeting

The President of Kazakhstan noted the exceptional preparedness of Dushanbe to host high-level events.

On September 15, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev held a one-on-one meeting with President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon during his working visit to Tajikistan. The politicians discussed a number of important issues of international and bilateral importance, the press office of the President of Kazakhstan reported.

Expressing gratitude to Rahmon for the warm welcome and hospitality, Tokayev highlighted the particular importance of converging views on sensitive issues on the international agenda of the session of the CSTO Collective Security Council and the meeting of the SCO Council of Heads of State.

The President of Kazakhstan noted that Dushanbe, as always, demonstrated the exceptional preparedness to host high-level events. He said Kazakhstan had finalized the necessary documents at the ministerial level and expressed the hope that all participants would work together and discuss in more detail the agreements to be signed.

The interlocutors confirmed their mutual readiness to coordinate joint efforts both in a bilateral format and within the multilateral organisations.
