President of Turkmenistan marks vectors of state budget for 2022

Berdimuhamedov instructed officials to pay special attention to expanding export potential and import substitution.

On September 14, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a meeting with the participation of the Minister of Finance and Economy Muhammetgeldi Serdarov and Deputy Prime Minister Serdar Berdimuhamedov. The national leader heard reports on the preparation of the draft state budget for 2022, as reported by «Turkmenistan Today».

Serdarov was the first to speak. He noted that within the framework of the corresponding financial plan, special attention will be paid to industrialization. Berdimuhamedov marked that in the relevant direction, emphasis should also be placed on expanding export potential and import substitution, creating enterprises for the production of electronic devices, privatizing state facilities, and digitalizing all spheres of the economy.

Serdar Berdimuhamedov spoke about additional resources in the revenue side of the state budget for the next year. The report provided information on the expected level of gross domestic product. Particular attention was paid to the amount of money that will be directed to the social sphere. He said that the state budget provides for an increase in salaries, pensions and state benefits by 10% in January next year.

The President stressed the importance of expanding the investment potential of Turkmenistan, modernizing the social sphere, improving the quality of life of citizens, developing medical and educational systems, and increasing the profitability of banks.
