Kyrgyz security forces begin preparations for Independence Day

About 9,000 law enforcement officers and military servants will operate the enhanced security regime from August 30 to September 1.

In Kyrgyzstan, employees of internal affairs bodies and military personnel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are preparing to ensure public order during the celebration of the 30th anniversary of independence, the press office of Ministry of Internal Affairs reported on August 26.

The Ministry has approved the action plan to ensure public safety from August 30 to September 1. In accordance with the order of Minister of Internal Affairs Ulan Niyazbekov, the officials have conducted personnel and stock counts of the above bodies.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, about 9,000 law enforcement officers and military servants will operate the enhanced security regime from August 30 to September 1. The police will ensure order on the streets and in public places, as well as traffic safety.

Guards will be on duty near major facilities and diplomatic missions to prevent crimes and delinquency.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, law enforcement officers and military servants will be instructed to observe discipline, respect the rule of law and show professionalism.

As was reported, over 40 events will be held throughout Kyrgyzstan to mark the 30th anniversary of independence.
