Kyrgyzstan develops 3-year pandemic response programme

The meeting participants discussed the current epidemiological situation and measures to reduce the spread of coronavirus.

On August 24, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Zhyldyz Bakashova chaired a regular working meeting on the current epidemiological situation and measures taken to reduce the spread of coronavirus in the country, the press office of the Government of Kyrgyzstan reported.

Highlighting the need to take a systematic approach to prevent the spread of infections, Bakashova proposed to develop the programme for 2021-2023. She instructed that an interdepartmental group be set up that would draft and submit the programme and action plan.

The working group will include not only representatives of government agencies, but also independent experts from non-governmental and international organisations.

The Deputy Prime Minister said she would take control over the investigation in the forged PCR test results.

Bakashova underlined the inadmissibility of such violations and instructed that the Ministry of Internal Affairs conduct an investigation on these matters.
