Kyrgyz military servants in Batken Region serve half as much

Japarov attended a solemn event marking the 80th anniversary of the Interior Forces of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan.

On August 24, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov attended a solemn event marking the 80th anniversary of the Interior Forces of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan. From September 1, 2021, 1 year of military service of Interior Forces officers, who serve in special circumstances, will be equal to 1.5 years, and one year of military service in Batken Region will be equal to 2 years, the press office of the President of Kyrgyzstan reported. 

Japarov noted that the Cabinet of Ministers had drafted a resolution on material support to certain categories of military servants, in accordance with which military servants of the Interior Forces of the Ministry of Internal Affairs would receive pay rise of 40 per cent from October 1.

Japarov noted the high fighting spirit and excellent skills of military servants of the Interior Forces.

The President presented the military banner – a symbol of military honour, valour and glory to the units of the Interior Forces of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. He said the Interior Forces ensured security in the country, stood guard over key state facilities and combatted crime.
