The New Almaty Infrastructure Concept is being implemented consistently in the southern capital.
On August 23, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev considered the new projects aimed at beautifying the southern metropolis during his working trip to Almaty, the press office of the President of Kazakhstan reported to CentralAsia.news.
Almaty Akim Bakytzhan Sagintayev reported to the President on the stage-by-stage implementation of the New Almaty Concept. The Concept envisages the creation of a polycentric urban structure in the southern capital. A comfortable living environment and innovative public deltas for cultural and leisure activities will be created for residents of Almaty.
Upon considering the projects, the President focused on ensuring that urban infrastructure facilities conserve green funds and be safe. Tokayev emphasised that the new parks should have all of the necessary amenities.
In general, the leader of Kazakhstan positively evaluated urban infrastructure development and instructed that modern recreation ‘islands’ and walking routes be created in each district.
