Uzbekistan works closely with states to evacuate their citizens from Afghanistan

Today, joint efforts are being made with Germany, Russia, USA, Switzerland, Austria, Denmark, Poland, Hungary, Slovakia and Kazakhstan.

Due the difficult situation in Afghanistan, in response to requests from foreign partners, as well as in the spirit of world humanitarian law, Uzbekistan is closely cooperating with foreign countries to evacuate their citizens from Afghanistan, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan reports.

Today, joint efforts are being made with Germany, Russia, the USA, Switzerland, Austria, Denmark, Poland, Hungary, Slovakia and Kazakhstan to provide services for the use of the airport platform, permit flights through the airspace, takeoff and landing and important technical and logistical cooperation.

Coordinated work has been done together with foreign partners to evacuate from Afghanistan and transit through Uzbekistan nationals of foreign countries and citizens of Afghanistan to agreed states.

Over the past few days, 1,982 foreign citizens have been evacuated through the territory of the Republic. Evacuees are provided with appropriate assistance in accordance with quarantine requirements during a short stay in Uzbekistan, after which they are redirected to the countries of destination.
