Russia interested in developing progressively relations with Kyrgyzstan

Maripov and Mishustin held a bilateral meeting on the margins of the summit of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Kyrgyzstan.

On August 20, Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Ulukbek Maripov met with RF Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, who arrived in the country for a working visit. The Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers exchanged views on promising areas of bilateral partnerships, including cooperation in the transport, energy and industrial sectors, the press office of the Government of Kyrgyzstan reports.

“We are ready to work jointly towards increasing bilateral trade turnover, which in January-June of the year amounted to US$ 1.55 billion and rose by 28.5% compared with the same period last year,” Maripov said.

RF Prime Minister noted that his country was interested in enhancing and deepening cooperation with Kyrgyzstan.

The parties also discussed the results of the Kyrgyzstan-Russia Year and further cooperation within the Russia-Kyrgyzstan Development Fund.

Maripov invited Mishustin to pay an official visit to Bishkek as part of the closure of the Kyrgyzstan-Russia Year.
