Tajikistan and China test cutting-edge weapons

The tests were conducted as part of the joint tactical exercise to combat terrorists in the Ramit Gorge.

On August 19, the special forces of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Public Security of China tested the cutting-edge weapons in the Ramit Gorge near Vahdat city. The tests were conducted as part of the ongoing joint tactical exercise to combat terrorists in the mountainous area in the Central Asian Republic, the press office of the Ministry reported.

Military weapons, long-range tanks and cannons, air vehicles, drones and artillery weapons were tested.

The exercise began on August 17 and ended on August 20. The event aimed to improve military skills, exchange experiences and train highly qualified personnel.

The joint tactical exercise was led by Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan Saidnakhsh Rahmonzoda and a representative of the Ministry of Public Security of the People’s Republic of China Liu Yunfeng. Ministry officials from the two countries took part in sports competitions, including athletics events, the day before.

On August 16, Rakhmonzoda expressed satisfaction with the level of relations between the Ministries during the talks with the Chinese official.
