The President of Tajikistan congratulated those present on the 30th anniversary of independence of the country.
On August 18, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon presented state awards, titles and prizes to representatives of various professions at the Palace of the Nations. Following the tradition, the President presents awards on the eve of the National Independence Day, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan reports.
Before the ceremony, Rahmon congratulated all those present on the 30th anniversary of independence and thanked them for their worthy contribution to the development of various sectors of the national economy.
The leader of Tajikistan said everyone sitting in the hall deserved the awards, adding that the authorities of the country valued the conscious labour, faithful service and creative activity of every citizen.
The prizes were awarded to scientists and natural sciences teachers, professors of universities and institutes, writers, researchers, cultural and healthcare workers, local government officials, entrepreneurs and workers in various service and commodity sectors.
Rahmon expressed hope that those present would use their intellectual potential for the prosperity and progress of independent Tajikistan.
