Citizens of Uzbekistan receive days off to honour 30th anniversary of independence

In accordance with the Order, employees of institutions, enterprises and organisations, regardless of the number of working days per week, will have holidays from 1 to 5 September.

Citizens of Uzbekistan received a gift for the Independence Days – they will have holidays  for 5 days in a row. In accordance with the Order, employees of institutions, enterprises and organisations, regardless of the number of working days per week, will have holidays from 1 to 5 September. President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev issued the Order.

The days off are September 1 (Wednesday) – Independence Day, a day off; September 2 (Thursday) – an additional day off; September 3 (Friday) – an additional day off; September 4 (Saturday) – a day off (for everyone, regardless of the type of working week); September 5 (Sunday) is a day off.

Uzbekistan Airways also prepared a gift for the Independence Day of the Republic: flight tickets for all passengers within the country will become cheaper from September 1-5 of the year. It will offer discounts from 30% to 50% on these days.

Tourist groups of 5 or more people, schoolchildren, students of colleges, lyceums and universities will pay 40% less than before. Families (2 or more people), pensioners, persons with disabilities, participants in World War II and home front workers, as well as liquidators of the consequences of the Chernobyl accident, receive a 50% discount on flight tickets.
