Kyrgyzstan evacuates 9 citizens from Afghanistan

As reported, Kyrgyzstan continues to evacuate its citizens due to the instability in the IRA.

Together with the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Afghanistan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic continues to evacuate its citizens due to the instability in the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. 9 citizens of Kyrgyzstan have been evacuated from Afghanistan as of August 17, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.

According to the Embassy, all other citizens are safe and secure, and the necessary measures are being taken to move them to the building of the Kyrgyz diplomatic mission in Kabul.

The day before, Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Afghanistan Miroslav Niyazov said 3 citizens had been evacuated from the IRA, 3 more citizens were waiting for a flight. About 20 Kyrgyz citizens continue to work in Afghanistan’s service sector.

He assured that none of citizens of Kyrgyzstan was left unattended. All citizens have air tickets for different days.

On August 15, the Taliban (an organization banned in Russia) declared that they were in full control of the entire country, and the war in Kabul was over. Western nations rushed to evacuate their diplomats and citizens from Afghanistan.
