Uzbekistan and Tajikistan sign two agreements in labour and employment sectors

The parties exchanged views on the 2021-2023 action plans and signed 2 partnership agreements between the trade organisations of the two states.

Minister of Employment and Labour Relations of Uzbekistan Nozim Khusanov had a meeting with Minister of Labour, Migration and Employment of Tajikistan Shirin Amanzoda. The parties exchanged views on the 2021-2023 action plans and signed two partnership agreements between the trade organisations of the two states, the Khovar State News Agency reports.

The parties reached agreement on the implementation of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Ministry of Labour, Migration and Employment of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations of Uzbekistan. The second agreement deals with partnerships between the Institute of Labour, Migration and Employment of the Ministry of Labour, Migration and Employment of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Institute of the Labour Market of the Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations of Uzbekistan.

The implementation of these agreements will strengthen bilateral relations in the labour and employment sectors between the neighbouring Republics. The agreements will improve contacts in the field of labour market research and personnel and professional training.

As was reported, the Minister of Labour, Migration and Employment of Tajikistan paid a working visit to Uzbekistan from 9 to 11 August, during which she visited the Project Management Centre of the Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations of Uzbekistan and met with Director Yekaterina Gorbunova.
