Japarov cancels tender for purchasing new vehicles for akims

Earlier, the transport department planned to purchase 40 vehicles that totally cost 60 million soms through a tender.

On August 13, Press Secretary of President of the Kyrgyz Republic Erbol Sultanbaev informed about the decision of President Sadyr Japarov to cancel the tender, which had been announced by the motor transport association under the Office of the President for purchasing 40 new vehicles, the press office of the President of Kyrgyzstan reports.

Sultanbaev noted that the reason behind this decision was the difficult economic situation in the Republic and the need to cut budget spending on non-priority areas. In addition, the tender would be cancelled taking into account the public opinion on this issue.

As was reported, the motor transport department announced a tender for 40 off-road vehicles that totally cost 60 million soms for regional akims.

The vehicles were to be white and new. Every vehicle must undergo mechanical inspections for immediate use after delivery, including oil in the gearbox and engine and a charged battery.
