Director of the digital solutions department at the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan Moldabekov noted that businessmen had signed a number of important agreements.
On August 6 and 7, the delegation of the large state-owned companies of Kazakhstan participated in the Central Asian commodity exhibition and the Central Asia Economic Forum in Turkmenistan. The CentralAsia.news correspondent talked to Director of the digital solutions department at the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan Bekbolat Moldabekov, who presented the exhibition stand of Kazakhstan.
He emphasised that the Economic Forum in the Avaza tourism zone should be evaluated highly.
“Our businessmen signed a number of important agreements worth about US$ 20 million with their Turkmen counterparts during the forum. We can say with confidence that the trip was productive, and businessmen from Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan found a common language,” Moldabekov said.
He added that the Kazakh companies had presented their satellite technologies and software to the Turkmen side. The Ministry official also highly evaluated the exhibition arranged at the Turkmenbashi International Seaport.
“The exhibition was held at a high level. All the five countries of the region have prepared well for this event. I liked the city and local nature. Citizens of Turkmenistan are good-natured and friendly people,” the official said.
He noted that Kazakhstan had exhibited the domestically-made satellites, televisions, tablets and other products.
The above forum was timed to the Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia, which took place in the Avaza tourism zone on August 6. The members of governments and heads of ministries, departments, financial organisations and private companies of Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan attended the forum.
Before the Central Asia summit, leader of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev held talks with President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. They noted that signing agreements between the two countries would give a very serious impetus to expand bilateral cooperation.
