Japarov suggests ensuring free movement of goods in Central Asia

The leader of the Kyrgyz Republic highlighted the importance of joining efforts to promote trade and economic partnerships.

On August 6, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov delivered a speech at the third Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia, which took place in Turkmenbashi. Japarov said his country considered it important to ensure free movement of goods, services and workforce and provide social and economic support for businesses and agricultural producers, the press office of the President of Kyrgyzstan reports.

The leader of the Kyrgyz Republic focused on the measures taken to combat the coronavirus pandemic.

Enhancing and expanding international cooperation in responding to the pandemic, particularly with the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union and the Commonwealth of Independent States was a key aspect in the fight against the pandemic, the President said.

Japarov emphasised that the Kyrgyz side supported the initiative of the neighbouring countries to set up centres for traditional medicine and promote scientific and practical cooperation among health institutions.

The emphasis was placed on the importance of mutual recognition of test results and vaccination certificates or passports.
