Mudslides destroy houses and roads in Issyk-Kul Region

Maripov instructed that the aftermath of mudslides be cleaned up as soon as possible.

On July 30, Chairman of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic Ulukbek Maripov instructed the government agencies to take emergency measures to clean up the aftermath of mudslides in Ton and Jeti-Oguz districts and Balykchy town in Issyk-Kul Region, the press office of the Government of Kyrgyzstan to CentralAsia.news.

The Prime Minister tasked the Ministry of Emergency to involve additional rescue forces to clean up the aftermath of the natural disaster and supply special cleaning equipment to the affected areas.

The Ministry of Transport was tasked to clean up the aftermath of mudslides on all roads as soon as possible so that the people of the region could move freely.

As was reported, heavy rains caused mudslides in Ton and Jeti-Oguz districts and Balykchy town in Issyk-Kul Region that destroyed houses, washed away roadbeds in some areas and damaged bridges and other facilities.
