Japarov was informed that the growth in this sector would contribute to reviving the economy and creating new jobs.
On July 26, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov visited a new jewellery factory. The new enterprise Kyrgyzaltyn Yuvelirprom was created at the Altyn jewellery factory through the PPP mechanism, the press office of the President of Kyrgyzstan reported.
The shareholders of the new enterprise are Kyrgyzaltyn OJSC and Kyrgyz Jewellery Factory Altyn LLC.
“The new enterprise is aimed at restoring domestic jewellery production, modernising production facilities, reconstructing existing jewellery factories and sales network and creating an enabling business environment,” the report says.
Budget revenues collected from the main taxes on the sale of jewellery made from precious metals in the extracted amounts would grow significantly.
Japarov tasked the managers of the new enterprise to increase the quantity of gold processed in Kyrgyzstan from January 1, 2022.
