At the Cabinet meeting the Turkmen leader noted the importance of educating the young generation on the example of ancestors who dreamed of freedom.
The President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a government meeting on July 23. It was dedicated to the priority issues of public life. Particular attention was paid to activities aimed at educating the younger generation, as reported by «Turkmenistan Today».
The relevant topic was touched upon during the conversation between the President and the head of the Mejlis of the Milli Gengesh Gulshat Mammedova. Berdimuhamedov noted the importance of popularizing cultural heritage, traditions, customs, family values among young people.
According to the leader of the country, the younger generation should be brought up on the example of heroic ancestors who dreamed of freedom and prosperity for their homeland, and also highly appreciated the sanctity of the family, honor and dignity. Berdimuhamedov stressed that the relevant officials should pay special attention to this issue.
It should be mentioned that on February 2, the Central Asian expert Vadim Shagiahmedov noted that the authorities of Turkmenistan pay great attention to the wide development of youth in science, education, sports, and business. According to him, the focus is also made on the spiritual and moral development of young citizens.
In January of this year, Berdimuhamedov approved the State Program on the Youth Policy for 2021-2025. The document provides for the expansion of work to ensure the social protection of youth, educating young Turkmen people to love language and literature, history, as well as encouraging young people to take part in the international scientific cooperation.
