Japarov: no one in Kyrgyzstan forced to get vaccines

As was reported, the President of Kyrgyzstan and his son were vaccinated with the Chinese Sinopharm vaccine.

On July 23, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov got a coronavirus vaccine. The President of Kyrgyzstan and his son were vaccinated with the Chinese Sinopharm vaccine at a mobile vaccination clinic in the capital, the press office of the President of Kyrgyzstan reports.

Addressing citizens of Kyrgyzstan, the President said getting a vaccine was a personal decision, and no one had the right to force anyone to get a vaccine.

He noted that unreliable and false information had spread recently in the public that the neighbouring countries were providing Kyrgyzstan with vaccines free of charge, requiring that 70% of the entire population of the country be vaccinated.

Japarov denied this information, asking his compatriots not to believe the rumours.

He noted that Kyrgyzstan had purchased 1.1 million doses of the Chinese Sinopharm vaccine from budget funds. 120,000 vaccine doses were purchased from the Russian Federation.

Japarov expressed profound gratitude to China and Russia for donating the consignment of vaccines to Kyrgyzstan.
