Bakashova instructs that vaccination rollout be accelerated in Kyrgyzstan

The Cabinet of Ministers reviewed the epidemiological situation and the progress of the coronavirus vaccination rollout at a regular meeting.

On July 22, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Zhyldyz Bakashova chaired a regular meeting of the Republican Task Force to Combat Coronavirus that reviewed the progress of the coronavirus vaccination rollout, the press office of the Government of Kyrgyzstan reported.

Bakashova underlined the need to accelerate the coronavirus vaccination rollout as much as possible, noting that vaccination was a voluntary step taken by everyone to protect health.

The Ministry of Health and Social Development was tasked to ensure the smooth functioning of the information system.

The heads of government agencies, the representatives of the President in the regions and the mayors of Bishkek and Osh were tasked to enter data on vaccinated citizens into the database and accelerate the coronavirus vaccination rollout in their territories.

The vaccination campaign was launched in Kyrgyzstan on March 29, 2021. The Chinese SinoPharm and the Russian Sputnik V are administered.
