The President of Turkmenistan gave the instructions at a meeting with the participation of the mayor.
On July 19, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held an online meeting with the participation of the mayor of Ashgabat Rahym Gandymov, and the Deputy Prime Minister in charge of the capital Charymyrat Purchekov. He directed to modernize the water supply system in the city, as reported by «Turkmenistan Today».
Gandymov reported on preparations for the winter season. The President said that the drinking water factories in Ashgabat have to be fully reconstructed, and the outdated water pipelines must be modernized. Berdimuhamedov instructed the official to prepare proposals in this direction. The head of the state also focused on the importance of creating a reliable ring water supply system.
Then the leader of the country asked about the progress of construction of a water treatment plant in the capital. It was noted that the daily capacity of the facility will reach 150 thousand cubic meters.
Berdimuhamedov paid particular attention to the need to improve the work of the communal services. He directed to speed up the process of delivery of specialized vehicles for the relevant services to Turkmenistan.
