AvtoVAZ, Renault and KamAZ build solid base in Kazakhstan

The production of the Arkana and Captur models has been launched at the Renault vehicle assembly site.

On July 16, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Roman Sklyar visited the SaryarkaAvtoprom industrial platform in Kostanay Region. Together with a representative of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Pak, Sklyar attended the launching ceremony of a new Kazakhstan-Russia production line and signed new investment agreements, the press office of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan reported.

Together with President of AvtoVAZ Nicolas Maure, they attended the launching ceremony of the Lada assembly line that would produce such models as Niva Travel, Niva 4×4, Vesta, X-RAY, Largus and Granta.

The Deputy Prime Minister and his Russian guest visited the vehicle assembly site of Renault. Marketing Director at Renault Russia & Eurasia Region Jan Ptacek told the visitors that the site had recently started producing the Arkana and Captur models.

Roman Sklyar and his Russian guest visited the construction site of the KamLitKZ plant that would produce iron-casting parts for 5G KamAZ trucks. During the visit to the construction site, the parties signed a new investment agreement on the project of an industrial zone that would produce main gears for drive axles and an agreement on the industrial assembly of these components.

General Director of KamAZ PJSC Sergey Kogogin said spare parts made in Kazakhstan would be supplied to the main plant in Naberezhnye Chelny (Tatarstan, RF).
