Nepal ready to promote ties with Uzbekistan

The agenda of bilateral relations in the political, trade, economic, tourism, cultural, humanitarian and other fields was discussed.

On July 12, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov met with   First Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Nepal  Bharat Raj Paudyal, who arrived in Tashkent for a working visit to participate in the International High-Level Conference “Central and South Asia: Regional Connectivity. Challenges and Opportunities”. The parties discussed further steps to enhance cooperation in trade, economy, tourism and other fields, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan reported to CentralAsia.news.

The high-ranking officials expressed mutual readiness to continue partnerships within the international and regional organisations, as well as other multilateral institutions.

The Uzbek side noted that it was seeking to give new impetus to trade and economic relations between Central and South Asia, including Nepal.

The Nepalese politician said his country attached great importance to the Conference and believed that its outcomes would contribute to bringing the two states and nations closer together.
