Rustam Emomali instructed that urgent measures be taken and the causes of this crime be identified.
Speaker of the upper house of parliament, Chairman of Dushanbe Rustam Emomali took the sensational murder case of an eight-year-old girl Rufaida Inoyatova under his personal control. He instructed the committee of the Majlisi Milli Majlisi Oli to take urgent investigative measures, the press office of the Mayor’s Office reported on July 7.
This decision was taken in response to the petition of the “We are for the safety of our children” civil society to the Chairman of Parliament. The email posted on the social network gained 2,000 signatures.
Rustam Emomali said the investigation into the above murder would be closely followed. The Mayor instructed the Prosecutor General to enhance criminal responsibility for crimes against sexual freedom of minors.
As was reported, Rufaida was murdered in Rudaki Region near Dushanbe on July 4. Representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that a 30-year-old neighbour, who was accused of having raped and killed a girl, had been detained immediately after that.
