Turkmen student Mergen Yolliyev becomes «Star of BSU»

A student of the Belarusian State University became the owner of the title within the «Best Graduate» competition.

A graduate of the law faculty of the Belarusian State University, a citizen of Turkmenistan Mergen Yolliyev won the nomination «Star of BSU» within the «Best Graduate» competition. It was reported by the correspondent of CentralAsia.news.

A total of 20 students became the «Stars of the Belarusian State University». The corresponding vote was held on the Russian social network VKontakte. 1611 Internet users took part in the survey.

Mergen Yolliyev was the Deputy Chairman of the Council of Presidents of the Law Faculty for International Communications of the Belarusian State University, coordinator of work with foreign students. Last year he received a thanks letter from the rector Andrey Korol. Mergen has also received a commendation for high achievements and good work in the corresponding council. The graduate is a winner of the Republican Universiade in boxing-2019.

The solemn ceremony of honoring the winners of the competition took place during the graduates' ball. The rector wished Mergen to keep in touch with the university and teachers, achieve the goals, contribute to strengthening the university and life values.

In total, this year more than 4,700 people including 273 foreigners received a BSU undergraduate diploma.

It must be added that a student of the Belarusian State University from Turkmenistan Rahim Atabayev knocked out his opponent at the MMA tournament — BFC Contender Series: Atletik on May 22. His wrestling and MMA trainer is Mergen.
