Sanitary and epidemiological situation in Kazakhstan steadily improves

The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers instructed that the Ashug app be used more widely.

On June 15, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin held an online cabinet meeting on the sanitary and epidemiological situation in the country. The participants in the meeting noted that the pandemic was coming down, the press office of the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan reported.

The high-ranking official in charge of the health sector reported that the capital remained in the red zone. Atyrau, West Kazakhstan and Karaganda Regions are in the yellow zone. The remaining 13 regions are in the green zone.

Reporting on the pace of vaccinations, the high-ranking official informed that as of today, over 2.5 million people had received the first dose, and 1.4 million people had completed the vaccination schedule.

Askar Mamin instructed that the Ministry of Health and the regional administrations monitor jointly the sanitary and epidemiological situation, and that the Nur-Sultan Mayor’s Office speed up vaccinations and ensure that citizens strictly comply with sanitary and hygiene requirements.

The Prime Minister set the tasks of taking additional preventive measures in connection with the rise in coronavirus cases in the neighbouring countries and instructed that the Ashug app be used more widely.
